Anyone can face an emergency – anywhere and at any time. This makes it all the more important to be prepared. Our employees’ safety is therefore particularly important to us. On 5th February our first aiders participated in a first aid course to refresh their skills and prepare themselves to respond as effectively as possible to emergency situations. 🚑
Why are first aiders so important?

✔ Knowing what to do: Keeping first aid knowledge current is ensured through regular training.
Voluntary and indispensable
Our first aiders are volunteers who assume responsibility and make a valuable contribution to a safe working environment. Their commitment shows how important it is to be prepared – for yourself and for others.
Regular training for maximum safety
We organise regular first aid courses to ensure that our first aiders are always up to date with the latest knowledge. After all, well-trained staff are the key to acting quickly and correctly in critical situations.
Many thanks to our first aiders for their commitment!

POLAR-FORM AS AN EDUCATIONAL PARTNER OF THE VERBUNDSCHULE LAHR - TOGETHER FOR A SUCCESFUL FUTURE

As an educational partner of the Verbundschule Lahr (“Lahr consolidated school”), POLAR-FORM has become intensively involved in promoting young talent. We offer practice-orientated opportunities to become familiar with different job profiles, focusing particularly on toolmaking apprenticeships. This profession involves making highly complex tools that are indispensable for manufacturing products such as car parts and smartphones.
Programmes such as internships, job application training, etiquette workshops and school fairs give young people an opportunity to gain first-hand
experience of exciting professions. Together with Verbundschule Lahr and other partners, we cover a broad spectrum of specialisms, ranging from social and commercial subjects through to technical fields. This allows talents to be discovered and opens up prospects for a successful professional future.
A career can be just as fulfilling and exciting as a hobby, because the right career awakens passion and joy. We support youngsters on their way to finding a career that suits them and that they enjoy.
POLAR-FORM has also been an educational partner of the Friedrichschule in Lahr for a number of years. This has enabled us to give even more young people an opportunity to discover their professional interests and provide them with targeted support.

SUSTAINABILITY AT POLAR-FORM: TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BETTER FUTURE

The concept of sustainability is becoming increasingly important.
“A principle according to which no more may be consumed than can be regrown, regenerated or made available again in the future,” is how the Duden thesaurus defines the term “sustainability.” It therefore means utilising resources such that they are preserved for future generations. At POLAR-FORM, we have firmly anchored this principle in our corporate philosophy.
In August 2023, we expanded our photovoltaic system and are now proud to be generating some 315 kWp from our rooftop. This expansion enables us to produce more electricity to efficiently cover our energy needs, while simultaneously contributing to sustainable resource use.
For us, sustainability is more than just a long-term goal – it is an ongoing process. We are constantly endeavouring to utilise our resources efficiently and make our operations even more environmentally friendly.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HEARTFELT THANK YOU!

The year is drawing to a close and it's time to pause for a moment and take a look back. We would like to thank all of our customers and business partners for placing their trust in us and for their excellent cooperation. In a year characterised by numerous challenges, cohesion and mutual support have been crucial. We are especially grateful for this. We have managed to overcome these challenges together and can now confidently look forward to tackling the tasks ahead of us.
We would especially like to thank our employees. Their commitment and passion have played a key role in helping us to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Our successes would not have been possible without their tireless efforts.
“Success consists of having exactly the skills that are in demand at the moment.” – Henry Ford
These words neatly encapsulate our appreciation not only for your efforts over the past year, but also for your excellent cooperation that has always been the force driving us forward.
We wish you and your loved ones a happy and relaxing Christmas! Enjoy the festive season with your family and friends, take time to revitalise and start the new year healthy and motivated.
Here’s to a continued successful partnership and many joint projects in the coming year!
OUR 2024 CHRISTMAS PARTY: A PERFECT EVENING FULL OF JOIE DE VIVRE AND CAMARADERIE

What a wonderful evening! Our Christmas party was a roaring success and will remain in our memories for long into the future. We had been looking forward to this for weeks and our expectations were more than fulfilled.
There was also ample choice when it came to raising one’s glass: Alongside mulled wine, mulled gin, bubbly and wine there was also a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks – perfect for every taste!
We couldn’t leave out the traditional raffle, of course! Fun and excitement was had by all as we unwrapped the many beautiful gifts... and shared a laugh or two.
The party was a great mood-lifter among colleagues – it was good to spend a relaxed evening together and enjoy the atmosphere. Our retirees were also invited and they relished the opportunity to reunite with their former colleagues again. It was great to meet up with old acquaintances and reminisce together.
All in all, it was an evening filled with good conversation, delicious food and plenty of fun. We enjoyed the evening to the full and are now looking forward to the upcoming Christmas holidays with great anticipation. Let's ring in the New Year with lots of good cheer – we’re excited to see what it holds for us!
SUCCESSFUL RECERTIFICATION: WE ARE ONCE AGAIN DEMONSTRATING
OUR HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS

Our annual monitoring audit included a particularly important step this time: our recertification audit. We had to demonstrate once again that we meet the stringent requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and are therefore able to guarantee the quality and efficiency of our services going forward. As expected, we mastered this challenge and are proud to announce that we have successfully renewed our certification.
We have been ISO 9001-certified since 2009, thereby emphasising our commitment to delivering the highest standards of quality. The certification is a key component of our corporate culture and assists us in continuously reviewing and improving our processes through regular audits.
We harness continuous improvement to ensure our customers, in particular, benefit from high quality and efficiency. ISO 9001 certification helps us exceed their expectations and strengthens confidence in our consistently high-quality products and services.
Ongoing compliance with this standard gives us the flexibility to adapt to changing market demands and highlights that we are ready to proactively respond to new challenges. Our ISO 9001 certification therefore not only demonstrates the high quality of our work, but also sends a strong signal of the direction we are heading in future.
40 SERVICE YEARS - DIETER GÖPPERT, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dieter Göppert can look back on an impressive career,
which started 40 years ago with an apprenticeship in mould-making with Albert Nestler i.K. In 1993, along with 15 other employees, he was taken over by POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH, a company newly founded by Mr. Jo Pollaert. After several years as Production Manager, Dieter moved to Sales and rose quickly to become Sales Manager. Following on from this, he took on the role of Deputy Managing Director and has been Managing Partner of POLARFORM Werkzeugbau GmbH since 2009.
POLAR-FORM plays an important role for Dieter– right behind his family, the company is a central part of his life. In the plastics sector, he is known for his extensive expertise and many years of experience, and is respected and appreciated as a leader.
We would like to thank him for his tireless commitment and valuable contributions to our company! We look forward to many more successful years!
OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

Moving to more efficient modern machines is our step toward further energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production. Incorporating state-of-the-art technologies into our machines helps to create a superior quality environment in which precision meets innovation.
Versatile, extremely accurate and highly efficient: the hallmarks of our new EXERON brand HSC milling machine and new AGIE brand wire cutting machine.
Measurements can be taken on both machines during machining or as a final inspection without removing the workpiece from the machine. This enables errors to be corrected quickly and a high level of quality to be achieved.
The company is responding to market requirements with this investment, at the same time as expanding its production capacity. "We are thrilled that these measures are helping to increase capacity and improve efficiency," explains Dieter Göppert, Managing Partner.
CITY CYCLING – We got involved and our five participants together cycled over 1,090 climate-neutral kilometres.

CITY CYCLING is a competition that aims for people to cycle as many everyday routes as possible in a climate-friendly manner over 21 days. In total, we cycled over 1,090 km, coming in 20th place in the municipality of Lahr in the Ortenau district.
CITY CYCLING is not about whether you are already cycling every day or have rarely been on a bike up to now. Every kilometre counts – especially if you would otherwise have used a car for it. It is all about cycling as many everyday routes climate-neutrally.
Apart from our contribution to climate neutrality, our colleagues also really enjoyed being active.

WORK TOUR TO DAIMLER TRUCK AG

Forgetting work for a while and enjoying a lovely afternoon together.
On Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at 12.00 noon, we set off from Lahr by bus towards the town of Wörth am Rhein. Upon our arrival in Wörth we enjoyed a fantastic tour of the Daimler Truck AG commercial vehicle assembly plant.
Before embarking on the plant tour we checked in at the customer centre and admired the vehicles on display there. The ninety-minute plant tour flew by. To conclude our visit we had a group photo taken in front of the new e-truck and then returned to Lahr by bus.
It was a real pleasure to spend a wonderful afternoon with so many colleagues. The event gave us a great opportunity for a relaxed, private chat with our colleagues.
THE POLAR BEARS ARE BACK!

On Friday 5th July 2024, the starting shot for the Lahr company marathon will sound for the sixth time. We have been involved since the first company marathon in Lahr and are delighted to be a sponsor for the second time.
The Lahr company marathon is popular in the region. Every year, cheerful and motivated employees from hundreds of companies come together in excited anticipation of this running event!
Last year, almost half of the POLAR-FORM workforce participated. Apprentices and colleagues from various departments all turned out – whether as runners or to cheer on or help cool down their colleagues ;-).
We are already looking forward to the evening together, hopefully in the presence of many POLAR Bears.
So let’s get training! :-)
NEW: JOBXPEDITION Basecamp from 13 April 2024

This year, as part of our apprenticeship program, we are once again inviting young people to come and learn more about us.
This time, however, young "expedition participants" will have an opportunity to discover more about the available apprenticeships and participating companies before this year's JOBXPEDITION kicks off, by attending our Basecamp (Marktstrasse 33, Lahr).
The event opens its doors on 13 April and there will be 8 dates for companies to introduce themselves and their available apprenticeship trades. We will be at Basecamp on 18 May 2024 and are already looking forward to welcoming the young "expedition participants".
Internships are secured with just 3 clicks and we will also assist with registration. Work placements for day or a week – next week or during the summer holidays – everything is possible. The young participants can decide for themselves when they would like to do their placement – and for how long.
Further information on the program and dates can be found here.
Training successfully completed

We have achieved a major milestone and would like to congratulate our apprentices on passing their examinations!
The entire POLAR-FORM team would like to congratulate our two former apprentices Jan and Maximilian for passing their final exams and becoming fully-fledged toolmakers. Completing their training means they have taken a very important step in their lives. The apprentices learned a great deal during their apprenticeships and are now well prepared for the challenges of professional life.
We are delighted that one of our former apprentices is going to remain with us and continue working at our company. With his expertise and dedication, he will certainly be an invaluable asset to us.
Our workforce currently numbers 65 with 6 apprentices among them. We still have apprenticeships available for 2024 and look forward to hearing from potential applicants. You can find more information here.
JOBkLAHR 2024 (career information fair)

On Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd February 2024 the JOBkLAHR air was held for the first time in Lahr. Some 50 exhibitors from various sectors presented their apprenticeship trades and highlighted further training opportunities. POLAR-FORM was there too, of course!
We held many great conversations with impending school leavers... and occasionally played a round of table football – something our apprentices built as part of their project work.
Moreover, our games of skill (also our apprentices’ project work) presented a challenge not only for the young visitors – the adult contenders also worked up a sweat!
We are already looking forward to receiving applications, whether for an internship or an apprenticeship.
You can find more information about an internship or even an apprenticeship at our company by clicking or by visiting us at the career information fair in Offenburg on 19th & 20th April, 2024.

Merry Christmas

It’s Christmas once again and another year is drawing to a close.
Last year, we wished for peace, happiness, health and much more. Some of these wishes came true, while others didn’t.
But isn’t it better to enjoy the few good things than to despair over the less pleasant ones?
As Confucius once said:
ALL the darkness in the world can’t put out
the LIGHT of one candle.
-Confucius-
In this spirit, let us light as many candles as possible at Christmas time.
One candle for LOVE.
One candle for HOPE.
One for FAITH.
One for OPTIMISM.
One candle for PEACE.
One for BROTHERLY LOVE.
One candle for TRUTH.
One candle for SATISFACTION.
One candle for TRUST.
And ONE candle for TOGETHERNESS.
We would like to thank YOU, our loyal customers, business partners and reliable employees, for the many successful moments we have experienced together with YOU and trust that we’ll be able to enjoy many more such experiences in the coming year!
We wish you a blessed and peaceful Christmas and hope that the light of good will cause the less pleasant things to fade away.
Saving many lives together

A joint blood donation campaign was organised together with two other companies from Lahr.
The German Red Cross blood donation campaign was a great success and a large number of employees participated. We are aware that anyone can be affected by an emergency – at any time! As a company, we therefore wish to encourage our employees to support others.
So we are planning further blood donation campaigns during which our committed employees can donate blood during working hours.
The job information fair in Offenburg. We are on.

Preparations for the Job Info Fair (Berufsinfomesse – BIM), in Offenburg are already in full swing. Some 400 exhibitors will be in Offenburg on May 12 and 13, offering over 2,000 positions in training and further education, the professions, studies and internships in Germany and abroad.

Award for “Volunteer-Friendly Employer for Civil Protection”

On January 19, thirty three companies in Baden-Württemberg received the “Volunteer-Friendly Employer for Civil Protection” award. Thanks to the voluntary work undertaken by some employees, POLAR-FORM is one of the companies that honoured to accept this award.
In the area of civil protection in particular, volunteers play an important role when it comes to providing rapid assistance. We would therefore like to thank our employees for volunteering and will continue to support them in their voluntary work for civil protection.

Final examination

Christmas is just around the corner and an eventful year is drawing to a close. We started the year 2022 with the hope of overcoming the many challenges of the Covid pandemic. While this has not fully materialised, the situation has improved. The year 2022 brought more big challenges, albeit different ones.
CHRISTMAS
Christmas is traditionally a time of reflection and joy. A time of peace and compassion, and especially a time of gratitude.
We are grateful…
…for your loyalty!
…for your trust!
…for our good working relationship!
Together, with YOU, our customers, business partners and employees, we have made the year a success.
Let's bring the year 2022 to a quiet close and let's continue to work hard and remain optimistic in 2023.
Use this time to pause and reflect, and to escape the stresses of daily life. Enjoy some peaceful and relaxing moments with your loved ones.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year full of health, happiness and joy.
Final examination

We are incredibly proud of our former apprentices, Mirco and Michael. By passing their final examinations, they have successfully completed their vocational training as tool mechanics. The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Industrie- und Handelskammer – IHK) awarded Michael and Mirco a prize for their excellent achievements during training and in their final exams in particular.
Both Mirco and Michael will remain in our employment as part of our team of skilled workers. Colleagues and management look forward to many years together and wish the boys all the best for the future.
Summer, sun, summer festival

Brilliant sunshine, cold drinks and a great atmosphere... everything you could wish for in a summer festival!
The pandemic caused recent summer festivals to either be cancelled completely or held on just a small scale. However, such gatherings are important events that allow POLAR-FORM staff to mix socially in a relaxed atmosphere.
We wanted to celebrate together once again this year. Our managing directors, Mr. Johannes Pollaert and Mr. Dieter Göppert, welcomed all POLAR-FORM employees and had also invited some retired former staff. The “Schwarzwald Burger” food truck provided culinary delights and the beer truck offered chilled drinks. Ice cream, cakes and delicious cocktails were also available. Some of the smaller visitors were even allowed to sit on the forklift. It was a really SUPER atmosphere!
Everyone left the summer festival with a smile on their face, looking forward to the upcoming company anniversary. Next year, POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH will celebrate its 30th year of operations.
Corporate challenge race 2022 – the POLAR-FORM_Team was there

It was GREAT! Really good fun was had by all in a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere with radiant faces all round!
1,150 runners from nearly 90 companies participated in this year’s corporate challenge race. After tackling the 5 km course together they partied to LIVE music in the Seepark recreational lake area.
Team POLAR-FORM was there. It did us the world of good after a two-year pandemic-induced break and we were able to recharge a huge amount of collective energy. We are already looking forward to the next corporate challenge race.
POLAR-FORM at K 2022 in Düsseldorf!

It is with optimism that we look forward to that time in October and we have duly registered to be an exhibitor at K 2022, the leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry.
We look forward to welcoming you at our stand number C61 in Hall 01 from the 19th to the 26th October and being able to show you our latest innovations.
Do you have a new project? Bring it with you.
We would be pleased to advise you in the search for solutions and await your questions with excitement.
Merry Christmas

For the second year in a row we have experienced a year that has been demanding for all of us in many respects, both in business and in our private lives. We had to learn to deal with restrictions. Familiar habits and human closeness were suddenly no longer a matter of course. This took many of us to our limits.
So, what better occasion than Christmas to say thank you for all the good things you did last year?
We would like to say thank you to all our customers, business partners and employees for your loyalty and the trust you have once again placed in us over the past year. Through our combined strength, we have mastered all of the challenges and made the best out of the situation.
From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you a wonderful holiday season and a joyous celebration with your loved ones.
This crisis has shown us the importance of health.
So, we wish you above all good health and great optimism for the coming year.
Corona-vacciation Polar-Form

Many vaccination centres and general practitioners are at full capacity regarding an appointment for the COVID19 vaccination. That is why we at POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH would like to support our employees and, with the help of a company doctor, have offered persons who are interested the opportunity to make an appointment for the first vaccination on 21 June 2021.
"The health of our employees is very important to us!" says Dieter Göppert, Managing Director, and assures that the date for the second vaccination is already fixed.
Mr Dieter Göppert is one of the lectures on the DIF

DIF (Deutsches Industrieforum für Technologie [German Industry Forum for Technology]) is offering an advanced course in plastic construction for injection-moulded parts and plastic components running from 22 March to 9 June 2021.
Mr Dieter Göppert, POLAR-FORM – Managing Director, is one of the lecturers and is pleased to be sharing his expert knowledge with DIF.
“We are hoping that many people will sign up as it will be a really interesting course,” explains Dieter Göppert.

INJECTION MOULD FOR HIGH-TECH MASKS

The high-quality and long-lasting masks made from flexible LSR and PP were developed at the request of Arburg from Lossburg in Germany and in cooperation with several partners. One of the partners, POLAR-FORM, built and supplied the special injection mould for the LSR component in a record time of around just five weeks.
Normally, it would take almost six months to progress from an initial design to a finished product. However, time was in short supply at the end of March and the situation called for urgent solutions. The masks, which fit over the nose and mouth and are made from LSR (liquid silicone rubber) and PP (polypropylene), have been in production since 11th May. The aim is to mass-produce around 3,500 of these multifunctional high-tech masks every day.
Masks to be donated to facilities
The finished marks will be donated to facilities that urgently need them. POLAR-FORM wants to support care workers and staff at the hospital in the Ortenau district to thank them for their dedication and hard work. These masks will provide reliable protection and are more comfortable to wear than disposable or fabric masks. LINK:

The preparations for the Beruf & Co. on 20 and 21 March 2020 are already in full swing. The career information fair is organized by a wide variety of companies run by pupils and we are allowed to be there.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to introduce the pupils to both the profession of "tool technician" and our company POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH.
We will demonstrate a production process of POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH live on an injection moulding machine at our booth. Our trainers and trainees will gladly answer your questions on the subject of "Training in our company" and of course anyone who is interested can also register for an internship with us straight away.
